Artist Statement
I'm from the Western U.S.. My work ranges from abstract to expressionism, scenic, nudes and pop.. done in several medias.
I try and capture the emotion of the moment in my art. I want to go beyond just seeing and venture into feeling. I figure if all I wanted to do was see something, I could take a photo. If I'm going to paint or draw something, I'm going to try and put my impressions into it too.
While I have been drawing and painting pretty much all of my life, I've only been offering my art work to the public since 2006.
My art education has spanned across several schools and many non-traditional sources. A lot of what I do is self study, although I did finally get my formal degree in art from Weber State University in 2008.
